Matt and his wife Missy, have been married 14 years and along with their two children, Savannah and JP have called the Black Hills home since May of 2018, after being called to move to SD from Lilburn, GA.  Prior to being voted in as lead pastor at Connection Church Sturgis, Matt served as both the youth pastor and associate pastor for Mercy Gate Church, located in Rapid City, SD.  Currently, Matt is enrolled at BBC (Baptist Bible College) for a degree in Christian Leadership.  

Matt and his family enjoy time together outdoors, riding on off-road trails, hiking, and getting out into the community to meet people. Matt's family has a deep desire to see dead hearts come to life through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Derrick and Michelle Billingsley moved to the Sturgis, SD area in May of 2022 after many years of mission trips to the Black Hills of SD.  Derrick and Michelle are from Senatobia, MS where they served in the local church for 16 years in various capacities to include children's ministry, men's and women's group leaders, and any other area needed.  

Currently, Michelle heads the 2nd location of Journey Home School Tutoring Program (HSTP) held at Connection Church. Derrick and Michelle both lead the children's ministry at Connection Church on Wednesday evenings.
